Cerebral palsy nutritional
We have dedicated ourselves to growing healthy organic food for kids in need. Pretoria School for Cerebral Palsy is a school for learners 3-18 tears old with cerebral palsy, physical disability, spina bifida, macular dustrophy and post trauma has confirmed that for us: gardening can bring positive change in people's lives, in our communities and in the environmental as a whole. In the year 2016 Thatego donated a Nutritional Garden to the children of Pretoria school for cerebral palsy and have been maintaining it to date. We will continue to visit the school. Last year we held a Christmas party for the children of which they were absolutely delighted. These little ones have become part of our family and we will continue to care for them.
Rooikraal Community Hall in Rustenburg
As our motto states, "We strive to continuously improve the lives of the communities within which we operate", hence as an organisation, Thatego decided to host a one day soccer tournament. The idea of the tournament was to give boys a platform to showcase their talent.
Thatego Holdings worked on a project in Maile. While staff members were working the Directors. Thabo malefetse and Dorcas Malefetse spotted young boys playing a soccer match. They were both blown away by the talent the boys displayed. After the rather intense match, a price giving was organised in the Maile Community Hall, the young men were delighted and showed so much overwhelming joy during this moment as their talents were being celebrated. This tournament is now hosted twice a year at Maile.
Nourishing meals for the struggling elderly
Meals on wheels Community Services is a non-profit organisation that utilises voluntary helpers who prepare and deliver nourishing meals to the struggling elderly in the comfort of their homes. We have established a great relationship with this team in 2017 and have since then been proud sponsor of their charity work.
